It is just very easy to take notice of someone’s mistake. Very easy because we are fault finders. Right? In addition, to see someone’s speck we need such proximity - closeness. It’s crazy that we are sometimes afraid of intimacy because that’s when people get closer look and get into us (seeing our speck that can’t be seen from a distance.) It’s funny that in the beginning of a relationship we tend to magnify amazing things about him and her but then, these amazing things are the ones we tend to take for granted when we get into the relationship. Why? What happened along the way? WE MISS OUR FOCUS!
Undeniably, many things in life are not of our control but our focus is. In every relationship we are into, we choose what we want to magnify. What we magnify is what you get more of. If we magnify their weakness then what do you expect to see more from them? If we focus more on their I can’t do then what do expect than their failures. If we are looking for someone’s crap, then we find their crap. Do you dare expect to find gem when we wasted our time looking for crap? As a quote says, “Seek and you will find.”This applies for both positive and negative.
If only we are honest to ourselves, the main root cause of failure in relationship is actually the loss of focus. If we aim for a successful relationship of any kind, BE MINDFUL OF YOUR FOCUS. WHAT YOU'RE LOOKING FOR IS WHAT YOU FIND!
