Hate Sin

in #religion7 years ago

Live with a deep hatred for sin, in holy humility, calling at every moment for mercy and light. If there is this holy humility, we become like Jesus, who hates sin more than anything else. If we are continually struggling to overcome our defects, then we are certainly pleasing to God.

The Redeeming Body of Christ

Make your whole body holy! We can hope to receive from Jesus the grace to be interiorly and exteriorly holy, holy in body. And this we hope through the sufferings of His passion, particularly through the scourging, the crowning with thorns, and through His labor and pain in carrying the cross. If ever there were an innocent body, it was the body of Jesus.

Psalm 51

To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David, when Nathan
the prophet came unto him, after he had gone in to
Bath–sheba.
1 Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy
lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy
tender mercies blot out my transgressions.
2 Wash me thoroughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse
me from my sin.
3 For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is
ever before me.
4 Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done
this evil in thy sight: that thou mightest be
justified when thou speakest, and be clear when thou
judgest.
5 Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did
my mother conceive me.
6 Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts:
and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know
wisdom.
7 Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash
me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
8 Make me to hear joy and gladness; that the bones
which thou hast broken may rejoice.
9 Hide thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine
iniquities.
10 Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a
right spirit within me.
11 Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not
thy holy spirit from me.
12 Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and
uphold me with thy free spirit.
13 Then will I teach transgressors thy ways; and
sinners shall be converted unto thee.
14 Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God, thou God
of my salvation: and my tongue shall sing aloud of
thy righteousness.
15 O Lord, open thou my lips; and my mouth shall
shew forth thy praise.
16 For thou desirest not sacrifice; else would I
give it: thou delightest not in burnt offering.
17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a
broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not
despise.
18 Do good in thy good pleasure unto Zion: build
thou the walls of Jerusalem.
19 Then shalt thou be pleased with the sacrifices of
righteousness, with burnt offering and whole burnt
offering: then shall they offer bullocks upon thine
altar.

Great post!

again good work. Upvote for You

Excellent Post, Receive the Blessing of God for dedicating time and service, I in turn convince when I write of Holiness and take the trouble to read while the issue of money is the most important thing for a lot. May the Lord bless you.

True because sin bring problems

The word of God, his law, is a lamp unto my feet. Sin is darkness. It will cause one to stumble and fall. We are the light of the world a city set on a hill that can't be hidden. When we shine in darkness people will cease to fall.

One reason we hate sin is because of what our sin did to Jesus! How can we love and stay with anything that was the cause of His sufferings! The normal and natural for a person that is born from above is to abhor evil. We are now slaves, but to righteousness. We have our joy in please our Heavenly Abba!
Always something great here with you!
God bless!

He absolutely hates sins... But thank God, He conquered it on the cross for me.

I resteemed it for you.

In this psalm David recognizes all his sins before God, how good it is to recognize all our sins and be clean in the presence of God.

If ever there were an innocent body, it was the body of Jesus.

Apart from Jesus, we were all conceived in sin. And having said this, sin is a product of the flesh being in control. And to hate sin is an holy desire which only the Holy Spirit can engineer in the heart of man, because He's the spirit of righteousness. That's why we always need Him at every point in time; without Him the flesh is bound to take authority over our being.

Thanks @deathlyhorror for sharing this great post.

Amen! Without holiness there is no hope of seeing God manifested on our behalf. God bless you brother.

Lovely message with a beautiful bible passage. As christians we ought to stay away from sinful things, thoughts and desires. Though we are living in the world we should not be of the world

Make your whole body holy! We can hope to receive from Jesus the grace to be interiorly and exteriorly holy, holy in body.

Exactly our bodies should praise the Lord and show his glory.

Romans12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

Hate sin for the love of God. Think nothing, say nothing, do nothing which may displease God for He deserves infinitely more.

you are right brother @deathlyhorror!! But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh. – Galatians 5:16.

the desire of the flesh are sinful as christians we should walk by the Spirit of God. Thanks for sharing bro.

Nice one

True and amen. We cannot take a neutral position and still claim love righteousness . It's either we are for one and hate the other or we hate both. Love for righteousness will produce an inherent hate for sin. God bless you for your message @deathlyhorror

You are very right.

Jesus paid for all our faults and gave himself as a sacrifice lived for love of us.

He was clean and had not sinned in Him.

It deserves, the holiness that you speak about today and without which nobody will see God.

Beautiful message @deathlyhorror.

Be holy as and I am Holy, says the Lord
