A time is coming when many activities are taking place for different reasons, especially because it is Christmas, but it is important that we do not lose sight of worshiping Jesus.
When Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, wise men from the east came to Jerusalem, 2 saying, “Where is he who has been born king of the Jews? For we saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him.” 3 When Herod the king heard this, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him. 4 And when he had gathered all the chief priests and scribes of the people together, he inquired of them where the Christ was to be born. 5 They said to him, “In Bethlehem of Judea, for so it is written by the prophet:
6 And you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah,
are by no means least among the rulers of Judah;
for out of you will come a ruler
who will shepherd my people Israel.”
Matthew 2:1-6
Every year at this time, many reactions arise as Christmas approaches. People seem to set aside their usual behavior throughout the year, and the Christmas season is a unique experience. The same can be said of Our Lord Jesus Christ, who, even though more than 2,000 years have passed since his birth, continues to evoke many reactions in our lives.
We hear that Christmas has its origins somewhat related to the life of Jesus Christ, specifically his birth. While it is a festive symbol where, in a festive spirit, various preparations, parties, gatherings, and more take place, we often lose sight of the Lord. Although the purpose of Christmas is centered on remembering Jesus Christ, we often lose sight of this reason.
We can understand a very interesting picture of the moment when the "magi" or "wise men" followed the star that guided them to the birthplace of Jesus. This shows that the Jews at that time were distracted or indifferent to this event, and it shocked the religious leaders. At that time, Herod questioned the priests and scribes about the birth of Jesus, and they only told him what they knew, but they never reached the place as the magi did.
These days, it is these activities that occupy our time and attention. At every moment of our lives, different opportunities arise in which we must strive to make Jesus Christ our priority without taking our eyes off heaven, even when various other activities are present.

Llega una época en la que se presentan muchas actividades por diferentes motivos, sobretodo porque es navidad, pero es importante que no perdamos de vista adorar a Jesus.
Cuando Jesús nació en Belén de Judea en días del rey Herodes, vinieron del oriente a Jerusalén unos magos, 2 diciendo: ¿Dónde está el rey de los judíos, que ha nacido? Porque su estrella hemos visto en el oriente, y venimos a adorarle. 3 Oyendo esto, el rey Herodes se turbó, y toda Jerusalén con él. 4 Y convocados todos los principales sacerdotes, y los escribas del pueblo, les preguntó dónde había de nacer el Cristo. 5 Ellos le dijeron: En Belén de Judea; porque así está escrito por el profeta:
6 Y tú, Belén, de la tierra de Judá,
No eres la más pequeña entre los príncipes de Judá;
Porque de ti saldrá un guiador,
Que apacentará[a] a mi pueblo Israel.
Mateo 2:1-6
Cada año en esta época se presentan muchas reacciones llegando la navidad, las personas parecen dejar de lado el comportamiento que llevaban a lo largo del año y la experiencia en épocas de navidad es particular. Lo mismo podemos decir de Nuestro Señor Jesucristo, que aún cuando ha pasado mas de 2.000 años de su nacimientos sigue causando muchas reacciones en nuestras vidas.
Escuchamos que la navidad tiene sus orígenes algo relacionado con la vida de Jesucristo, con su nacimiento específicamente, si bien es todo un símbolo festivo en que con el espíritu festivo se realizan diferentes preparaciones, fiestas, reuniones y mas al final estamos perdiendo de vista al Señor, si bien el motivo de la navidad está centrado en el recordatorio de Jesucristo muchas veces perdemos de vista este motivo.
Podemos entender un cuadro muy interesante en ese momento en que los "magos" o "sabios" siguieron la estrella que los guiaba al lugar del nacimiento de Jesus, esto no muestra que los judíos en ese momento estaban distraídos o eran indiferentes a esto y este acontecimiento conmocionó a los líderes religiosos. En ese momento Herodes preguntó a los sacerdotes y escribas accerca del nacimiento de Jesus y estos le respondieron solo lo que sabían pero nunca llegaron al lugar como lo hicieron los magos.
En estas fechas son estas actividades las que ocupan nuestro tiempo y nuestra atención, en cada momento de nuestras vidas se presentan diferentes ocasiones en las que debemos esforzarnos para que Jesucristo sea nuestra prioridad sin desviar nuestra vista del cielo, aún cuando se presenten diversas actividades.
