John 8 : 32 - The Truth means Freedom

 Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.

We are people, people lie. Sometimes we do not think before we do, and that can cause our mind to say something just to keep everything calm. We always think, but what if they want to know, or what will happen if we tell the truth?

Where has lies come from? What causes us to lie?

Lies started in the beginning. All was fine until the devil showed up. Lies are only tempting when we don't want another person to think we feel guilty. Just like Adam and Eve lied to God. They thought they were going to hide what they did from God, but He knows everything. He know us in and out. We could not even think of lying without Him knowing that.

Lies are sin, and when we sin, we would normally be punished. But there is something like forgiveness. It doesn't help to lie, because the wheel turns, and the truth will somehow get out. Either now or later...

If you think you can hide the truth and never tell anyone, you are one sick person ( That is if you did something wrong ). But just to see someone live without the truth can hurt. Knowing that person doesn't know what happened, thinking that everything is alright. The truth will hurt, but it's better to get it out and apologize.

The one lying might be scared, but you will be forgiven, because you told the truth. Just apologize, and things might turn out different, but if that person finds the truth later in their life, you will see an other side of them.

Things could have been so much different if the truth was told from the start. Just imagine a life without sin, or hate, or murder etc.

Truth hurts, but you can recover from it. To watch people bear the agonizing pain of lies, is just as bad. We need not to be afraid of one another. Jesus died on the cross for our sins, and when we want to hide a sin by sinning, how can you be forgiven?

Think twice before you tell a lie, any lie... No matter how big the change might be or even how small. Lies hurt, they ruin everything, from friendships to relationships. And before you can say sorry, the trust barrier is already broken.

Think before you speak, help one another. Apologize and tell the truth, tell what the person needs to know, so that you and that person can live a healthy life.

Brotherbear, I want to citate a sentence from you post by saying: Amen 🙏

''Think before you speak, help one another. Apologize and tell the truth, tell what the person needs to know, so that you and that person can live a healthy life.''

Many Blessings BrotherBear,

Kind regards,

@DoWithLove

Thank you very much @dowithlove , same to you and Merry Christmas !

@brotherbear I totally agree. Don't even tell one small lie, it can have a terrible snowball effect. And if you do (or did), make it right and face the consequences, for your own peace of mind. Well said. Take care and have a peaceful day tomorrow.

Thank you very much @leighleigh , that is the price to pay. We just have to accept the truth, even if we are lying to ourselves. But have a lovely Christmas!
