"Who else have I in heaven? There is none else in whom I am bought in the land." Psalms 73.25

The fact of hearing the Word of God, of reading it, but nevertheless not living it in practice is a very great danger nowadays. What is missing is to know the Lord in Spirit and not just with reasoning or with emotions. To those who lack spiritual knowledge, everything is lacking. Our outward procedures may correspond perfectly to the faith we have in Jesus Christ, but even so the Lord speaks through Hosea: "For I desire mercy, and not sacrifice, and the knowledge of God, more than burnt offerings." Now you ask, "But how can I know Him better?" Here is the answer: "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of learning." And he who does not know the Lord can not love him deeply. Probably such a person, who does not know the Lord deeply, feels emotions and affection for the Lord, but lacks love in spirit, which is a reality that surpasses everything in a person's life. This lack of love for the Lord is manifested and made visible in his life through his own love, which is expressed in his vanity, in his impertinence, and in his mania of always wanting to be right. But the Lord is very much looking for people who love Him from the heart! "The Lord watches over all who love him." Yes, Deuteronomy 13: 3 is written until: "The Lord your God tests you whether you love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul."
