"It is not a cliff with your mouth, nor your heart beating the voice of God: for God is in the heavens and in his land, even as few as thy words are." (Ecclesiastes 5:2)

"Never again," we say before the face of the Lord in prayer, and behold, soon after we make the same mistake again. "Never again, Lord, do I want to commit this sin," but, deep down, we do not just abandon that sin, and we remain stuck with it. Why do we often promise the Lord many things, but do not follow them? Because our decisions were made in the sphere of feelings. Nothing is more volatile and inconsistent than our feelings. So we soon forget the Lord and forget even more what we said and promised Him. "Well," you say, "it's not my fault, after all, I'm just like that." That's no excuse! You may be unstable and forgetful, but you do not have to remain unstable for a lifetime. The Lord has given you a potent and wonderful weapon to free you in this emotional way of being: the sword of the Word of God that separates soul and spirit. But one thing must be emphasized: only theoretical agreement with the Word of God does not produce the expected effect. But when we practice what the Word says, our promises and vows before the face of God take on eternal weight.

That's right, we should not make pacts with God for emotions and then time passes and we forget what we said to God, thank you for sharing this word.
God bless you!

God bless you too!
