That is lovely and such a wonderful idea my friend! I would give the rose quartz a rinse under luke warm water for a few moments (trust your intuition ~ you will know when it's nice and clear). I would then allow this beautyfull peace of crystal medicine to air dry.

While the stone is drying, simply sending loving intentions and thoughts into the stone will begin the activation and charging process (you do not have to hold the rose quartz at this time during charging, but you can if you choose).

For maximum potency I recommend repeating this infusion process (with the stone in your hands, held over your heart) just before actually giving this gift to your Mom <3

During the full moon each month have her place the crystal in the window sill overnight - this will cleanse and recharge the rose quartz :)
