Since I've been on here, I've noticed that the quality of votes is better vs. when I used reddit. A lot of times I would upvote just based on a headline sort of like clickbate. Since votes now depend on accuracy, I am finding that I am actually reading the content of the posts much more carefully before upvoting. Has anyone else noticed this?
I am just trying to vote on things I actually like or find interesting. This is such a new platform with novel incentives so it is hard to tell if good content is going to filter to the top or if certain articles might just snowball...
I have used reddit limitedly in the past, typically just to research a particular topic, not browsing for the sake of browsing. Now that there is incentive for me to participate more, I probably will participate more but I still feel inclined to only upvote content that I am interested in or have reviewed thoroughly.
I agree about the quality of votes. However, are you implying that the accuracy of the information is "better" than reddit? Use wondering. I think the upvotes don't necessarily depend on accuracy, I think people can upvote content that they like.
I upvoted you.
