Hello Guys!

It's a sunny afternoon here in Witbank, South Africa and I've just come back from work. I have a quiet evening in front of me so I thought this would be great time to check in with you all and post.

My daughter and I @heavenly, she is also on steemit 😂, have been eating clean for a few weeks now and I think we are getting into the swing of things. So I thought I'd share a very easy carbohydrate replacement for your meal.

Cauliflower rice!

Here in south Africa you can find it at Spar, Checkers and they sell it at Woolworths.

I buy the frozen back from spar. You can also buy a whole cauliflower and put it in your food processor.IMG_20180131_164301.jpg

Cauliflower rice is great because of the texture that gives you the feeling that you are eating a carbohydrate. It takes on the flavor of the meat and sauce that you add to it.

Last night I made a bolognaise sauce with mince and some fresh carrots and instead of the pasta I used the cauliflower rice. Simple but practical for everyday meals on the go! This looks great!!! I've made "Chicken Fried Rice" but with cauliflower rice and I used coconut oil. It was REALLY GOOD!!

Hello @janique! This looks very cool. I've come across a couple of surprising recipes with cauliflower in it, but this is one of the easiest to follow :) I also have seen recipe for pizza flats made from cauliflower, they're supposedly very tasty. Would you say this cauliflower rice is tasty? Does it have to be raw to have the texture similar to rice?

Anyways, thanks so much for sharing this idea, I'm following you for more clean recipes like that ;) I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you both :)

Hi @shinyforest, it is tasty, I put it in the microwave frozen with some cling wrap for about 9 minutes and then I fry it in a little bit of butter. The texture is what really does it! ❤️
