Tahini is a thick pasta made from ground sesame seed, and it is also known as sesame paste. It is used for cooking various dishes. For example, many sorts of sauces, dressings, eastern sweets, add to hummus and salads.
INGREDIENTS:
- 100 gr. sesame (try sesame before you buy, it should not be bitter, otherwise the whole paste will be bitter)
- sesame oil, nut oil, olive oil (any other not strongly smelling), about 1/6 part of sesame. How much will it take.
PREPARATION:
1. Sesame to dry in the oven on the baking sheet for 8-10 minutes, periodically shaking it. Sesame should be slightly gilded, but not much. If sesame seeds burn will not taste good, so watch it closely.
2. Pour down sesame into a bowl for the blender and shake up until smooth, uniform, creamy consistency, gradually adding oil.
Thina can be stored in a refrigerator in a closed container for up to 2 months.
