Chyou's Chinese Crispy Rice
Preperation Period: 2 minutes
Cooking Period: 25 minutes
Total Cooking Period: 27 minutes
Can make up to: 1 servings
INGREDIENTS
half cup long grained rice
salt to your liking
oil for deep-frying
PROCESS
Broil enough of water in a deep pan, put the rice and salt, stir well and cook on a medium flame for six to eight minutes.
Strain well, spread the rice on a clean muslin cloth and let them to dry for thirty minutes.
Heaten up the oil in a deep pan, add half the dried rice and deep-fry on a medium flame until the rice turns crisp and light brown in colour from all the sides. Strain on an absorbent paper.
Do again the step three to make remaining crispy rice in one more batch.
Chill completely and serve or store in an air-tight container and use as needed.
