Beef and Cabbage Stir Fry
INGREDIENTS
two tablespoons vegetable oil
four cloves garlic
half pound ground beef
half small head cabbage
one red bell pepper
two tablespoons soy sauce
one teaspoon cornstarch
half cup cold water
one teaspoon ground black pepper
salt
PROCESS
Heat a wok or large skillet over medium-high fire, and add oil. Fry garlic for about five seconds, then add ground beef. Stir-fry till beef is evenly brown; drain excess fat.
Stir in cabbage and pepper, and cook till vegetables are tender and beef is fully cooked. Mix in soy sauce. Combine together cornstarch and water, and stir in. Season with pepper; add salt to taste. Cook, mixing, till sauce has thickened.
