A Strawberry Aloe Limeade Elixir - Staying Hydrated in the Summer Heat

Hi everyone! I've been having fun making elixirs for the past few days. I want to share with you my first creation - the Hydration Limeade. I made this drink on a day when it was 90 degrees, hoping to keep my temperature down and my electrolytes high.
If you look up the meaning of elixir, you may find the following definitions in google dictionary :

• a magical or medicinal potion.
• a preparation that was supposedly able to change metals into gold, sought by alchemists.
• a preparation supposedly able to prolong life indefinitely.

Now, I'm not claiming that what I'm making is going to prolong your life indefinitely or change metals into gold. However, the creations are pretty magical and medicinal.

The Hydration Limade

Ingredients

• 10 strawberries
• 1 cup of freshly squeezed lime juice
• 1 cup of sugar
• 1 cup of aloe vera juice
• 6 sprigs of apple mint (can substitute other mints)
• 10 cups of water
• ice

The Alchemy

• Add the strawberries, lime juice, sugar, and aloe vera juice in a blender and mix them up
• Muddle the apple mint in a separate container with a cup of water
• Strain the mint water into the blender and blend
• Divide the concoction evenly into 2 half gallon mason jars
• Fill the mason jars up with water, screw on the lid, and shake well
• Pour the elixir into a cup with ice and enjoy!
