“Prometheus” Review | Is a blessing or a curse?

"Prometheus" directed by "Ridley Scott" director who was previously nominated for four Oscars, the English director who directed many timeless films in the history of cinema, including: Blade Runner, Alien, Gladiator, and The Martian.

It is about the journey of the spacecraft “Prometheus”, which was classified as a very secret mission, where the purpose of manufacturing that ship was to go on an expedition to find out how long this life and how existed man.

Even the development of this giant ship needed discretion and no propaganda of any kind in order to be the first to solve the puzzle and not to compete with anyone, just as British archaeologist Howard Carter did "Who did not allow his rivals to go on a mission to search for the tomb of Tutankhamun, one of the pharaohs of the eighteenth Egyptian family and where he will search for him.

Story of the movie

The film is set in 2089, when two archaeologists discover a group of similar inscriptions in the form of a group of planets in places such as: Scotland, Mesopotamia, and ancient Egypt dating back more than 30 thousand years, prompting them to believe that it is an invitation from those who inhabited the earth In those earlier eras; to explore space and communicate with them.

What prompted them to form a crew of explorers to make the secret trip unannounced, where they reach a satellite that is millions of miles away from the earth, and there they find a large spot in the form of a colony was the best evidence and indication of the existence of a civilization in that place.

The crew is going to explore more than that signal, they went to get conclusive evidence, where the crew thinks that this is the beginning of mankind, which is why Peter Welland, president of Weyland, financed that journey in order to meet what he called his makers or Because he believes that meeting them will save him from death.

The most important positive advantages of the film

The film has many positive features and this certainly does not mean there are no downsides, but you can say that the positive advantages of the film overwhelmed the negative.

Firstly, the polished representation of Michael Fassbender, who mastered his role with great professionalism, his cold reactions in addition to the way he spoke and his light smile made him look like a real robot, and the captain of the ship “Idris Alba” who appeared in a very beautiful charisma

Second, the scenes of stalking and the breathtaking nature of the film, where the film depicts its characters in blind panic, have no time to pay attention in any direction they escape.

Thirdly, one of the things that impressed me personally in the film is the makeup that was used for the old character “Peter Welland”. Behind this character is the English actor Guy Pearce, born in 1967.

The film cons

Above I mentioned what are the advantages of this film, but here I will mention its opposite, and I will not dwell on you dear reader, the film showed some characters very stupid in many situations that require extreme caution, which you will certainly notice when watching this movie.

The film depicts the advancement of technology and tools invented by man after all these years, but this does not necessarily mean the development of the human body as well, to be clearer when Dr. "Shaw" surgery for herself where she dissected tissue muscles in her abdomen, and when the process ends Suture the wound with metal pieces in only three seconds and all this using a local anesthetic only, and yet it can move immediately after the client with a slight complaint of pain…!
