Biggest 3 Reading Mistakes
Subvocalization
You speak every word out in your mind while reading. This automatically links your reading speed to your speaking speed. Your speed is highly influenced by this mistake, because in reality you are much faster than this. Keep in mind that your thoughts are faster than your tongue! This Subvocalization can be practical, especially for very difficult topics to understand. So you should reduce your Subvocalization and not completely forget about it.Regression
Do you know this? Your eyes wander over the text and so does your mind, but not over the text. You lost your attention and you jump back to the passage in the text where you lost it. But it is still very difficult to concentrate completely at the words that you are reading. Why? Because your brain is unchallenged! Our brains is capable of much more than just reading these words. If it isn't challenged it searches some other shit that it can focus on. This does not help to read the text and get the information that you wanted in the first place. So if you challenge your brain more in the process of reading, your thoughts won't wander to other topics. So try to read faster and challenge your brain more! You will eventually get more information, because you really need to focus on the words that you're reading.Narrow View
The reading in the primary school begins with recognizing letters of the alphabet and leads to capturing whole words to understand the content of the text. So normally when you grow up, you still read every single word. We are satisfied with the view of only a half or one centimeter. But do you really use this narrow view for other things to look at like faces, objects, pictures or symbols? No! It would mean that you're seeing the world through a keyhole. With this "word to word" technique you constrict your view to a very low level. Your eyes can definitely capture much more words in a row!
