I got my hooded bonding scarf in the mail a few days ago. The boys seem to like it.
A bonding scarf is used by small animal owners to establish trust and connection between owner and animals. It allows them to be close to you, getting accustomed to your scent, being carried around while giving them a place to snuggle and hide if things get scary. It also protects my neck from their sharp little claws. When they feel comfortable they can come out and look around
It puts them in primo range for giving and getting kisses. They also like to make their laps around my head.
My favourite part is when they start bruxxing close to my ear, I know they are happy and feel safe.
Even though it's hooded, it is compatible with capped rats. (That's some rat breed based humour)
I look ridiculous, but it’s certainly cozy...I can't wait until winter so I can use the boys as ear warmers.
If you’d like your own, they can be found at this nice lady’s Etsy site:

How am I just now seeing this adorable image! Oh my gosh!
Yes if u open in another tab u get the bigger size in case u ever decide to use it somewhere :)
We always had pet rats when I was growing up, they really make fantastic pets. Our unfortunately always developed tumors. Can I inquire into what you feed them? They are adorable.
They are getting a rat food mix that I buy in bulk from the petstore. It's a lot of sunflower seeds and smushed corn and probably some hamster food that they never eat.
They also get carrots, kale, apple slices, tomatoes, and raspberries (or whatever rat friendly produce is in the fridge!)
Awesome thanks for the info.
