We have been seeing amazing result so far in the last 2 weeks of the #rapchallenge. The 1st week @hashbrown took the crown, week 2 was taken by @eddiebxxxx . Who will take the 3rd week? Let's go!! It's the SteemIT Rap Challenge!
Also, this past week Hip-Hop lost another pioneer of our beloved culture, Prodigy of the legendary Infamous Mobb Deep. He was only 42 years old, and he dedicated his life to this culture that we love. So i thought this week i would do a tribute to him and Mobb Deep by choosing 1 beat that is produced by Havoc, Prodigy's lifelong rap partner and best friend. We love you P, Rest in Peace!

- Download the instrumental and record a video of yourself rapping over it.

- Raps can be freestyles or written raps.

What are judges judging on can we get some criteria please? It's a bit confusing to me.
we're judging on what we like, our system to judge is not something that is public. But at the end the votes for the best get counted up, thats how we get the winners
Ok maybe there should be a weekly people's champ category? Whoever gets the most upvotes wins that?

Likewise! That artwork I submitted was actually originally going to be a weekly event that I was gonna attempt to launch until I found yours lol. No need for two competing hiphop groups when we can all come together in one community. I think this event is gonna be the start if something awesome, hopefully it will catch some momentum and reach the size of the open mic community.
I couldnt have said it better myself bro. Competing on this platform doesn't do anybody any good, unique ideas is what thrives on this platform.

Hey bro I had a quick question. Would you prefer a live take video for the rap challenge? I just finished up writing my verse and was wanting to shoot a legit video. The lyrics will make it very clear that it was written specifically for the challenge but I wanted to check with you first before I started filming anything lol. Will still be in the one-minute time frame also.
Ahhh im so excited i gotta write my verse.... ive been writing lyrics since I was like 8 years old .... no joke .... I've only ever rapped aloud like less than 50 times ... once in a studio a few years ago.... but i have hundreds, probably thousands of verses laying around and am continuously working on my rhyming frame of mind .... this is exciting!
It will be an accomplishmnent for me just to get mine up! 😊

Sorry bro, i remember people were posting shit early but still had to repost on the official blog on Friday. Im just tryna keep these boys on their toes. I wrote that verse last night and recorded today when i got done work btw. "Holla at ya boy!"
