Rammstein - Behind The Scenes of the World Stadium Tour 2019-2024

This morning, I was genuinely blown away when I opened my YouTube feed and stumbled across a video uploaded just yesterday. It’s a behind-the-scenes documentary, about 50 minutes long, showcasing how the band Rammstein managed their massive stadium tour. Watching this, I couldn’t help but marvel at the sheer scale of one of the biggest rock tours in the world. The documentary gives an incredible glimpse into the immense effort and planning that goes into making a single show day happen.

What stood out the most was the staggering number of trucks crisscrossing the country to transport the equipment. Even more impressive was learning that the entire stage setup, along with all its materials, exists twice over. While one stage is being dismantled after a show, another is already being built at the next location, ensuring seamless transitions for back-to-back performances. That level of logistical precision is nothing short of mind-blowing.

And then there’s the power—literally. The energy demands for the show are enough to supply electricity to a small village. The production runs on seven generators with one backup, all working in unison to power the colossal stage, lighting, and pyrotechnics. The scale of it all is just unreal.

As someone who grew up in the event industry and spent a good chunk of my life setting up stages, this was particularly fascinating to watch. It reminded me of my own experiences—hammering bolts into trusses, laying down hundreds of meters of cables, and rigging countless lights. Those were intense yet deeply rewarding days, and seeing this documentary brought back so many memories. Unfortunately, it’s been a while since I’ve been part of that world. The COVID pandemic hit the events industry hard, and after that, I ended up shifting my focus elsewhere. Life moved on, and so did I.

But watching this documentary stirred something in me. It’s inspiring to see such a high level of professionalism and the sheer scale of a production like this. It’s a reminder of what the events industry is capable of, even after such a difficult period.

For anyone who loves concerts, has a passion for live events, or is just a Rammstein fan, I can’t recommend this video enough. It’s a brilliantly crafted insight into what goes on behind the curtain of a massive rock tour. If you’ve ever wondered about the hidden world that makes those epic shows possible, this is your chance to see it in action. Whether you’re a fan of the band or just curious about what it takes to pull off a tour of this magnitude, it’s an absolute must-watch.

Honestly I'm not great fan of Rammstein but this behind scenes video will be interesting to look through during this holidays period at the evening time!

I'm more of a festival guy than stadium rock tours, but they all make me marvel at the sheer magnitude and technical detail of the modern stage setups. My cousin went to the Rammstein show at MetLife Stadium here in the NY/NJ area of USA. I'm trying to convince my partner to go see Hans Zimmer in February but it's proving to be a hard sell.
