I never used poloniex. But I have read several times that it took several day to weeks.
I use Bittrex which worked good for me so far.

I like bittrex but it charges 100,000 satoshis in fees and for me that I live in Venezuela is a lot of money since a simple dollar in my country should not be wasted :(

While the fees might be higher therefore it works very well. I have read several times about problems with Steem and poly.
there is a saying that says the cheap at the end is more expensive ... that's what happened to me with poloniex that for saving I lost my coins :(
Don't think they are lost, at least I hope so.
