Rage 2 has so far sold fewer physical copies than the first part in the series. The game is best sold for the PlayStation 4, while the PC version of Rage 2 at its peak had just over 13,000 players.
Rage 2 was launched last week and was the best-selling physical game in the UK, after this position was occupied by Days Gone for three weeks. However, the physical sales of the game in the first week are only a quarter of that of the original Rage, which was released in 2011 for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. It should be noted that more than half of total sales in the UK nowadays consists of digital downloads.

With 57 percent of the total physical sales, Rage 2 has so far been the best sold for the PlayStation 4. Sales for the Xbox One are 38 percent and only five percent of the physical copies are sold for PC, although the largest portion of all PC sales via digital Steam downloads. On Steam, Rage 2 is currently ranked 92nd among the most played games, with a peak of 13,591 simultaneous players and an average of 7,000 players.

After Rage 2, Days Gone, Fifa 19, Mortal Kombat 11 and Red Dead Redemption 2 are the other best-selling physical games in the UK last week. A Plague's Tale: Innocence, which was also released last week, debuts in ninth place.
