United we stand, divided we fall. Those are some of the wisest words ever uttered, (IMHO). Today it seems we are a divided country, and I, (unlike many I guess), do not see the divide as one of race.
The divide I see is country/rural versus city/urban. Look at the election maps from the last 4 elections. The divide is growing. It is not a race thing, it is an area thing. It is no longer the North versus the South, it is the City versus the Farm. It needs to change, but I do not see that happening anytime soon.
The more we connect between country and city on steemit, the closer we come to bridging the divide.
