RE: Seek knowledge

can I flag you :) ? you have self tagged yourself, which is ok I suppose, you want a return on your good will which makes it a bit well wanting, so it';s a wanting will .. if you are a active user you will be fine, sooner or later you will learn, it's not just activity it's reciprocity and responding to good content with good content, this post is as redundant as your comment .. anyways, best of luck I'm wondering if the author will follow you back..

Sort:

I won't follow them. I think "follow for follow" comments don't have any purpose. A plus in the followers count doesn't mean anything. A comment from a real user who has an opinion is worth more than 10 bot-followers.

Exactly, I think this post fits to that topic :)

I used to try and talk with them, before I realised it's spam mostly and you can't talk to spam with reason :D still I have hopes people stop and think once in a while, get a bigger picture perspective, what's up with the reward farming the scamming, all the usual is coming here as well and if we don't have the stable and reliable culture to shrug it off, we will fall into the swamp other social medias have become, nobody shuts up and nobody listens anyway..

Basically noise and disruption of information is what the internet amounts to sometimes. Exactly the opposite of what it was envisioned for :) all because misaligned principles and skewed values topple the world :D

I thought that I should use my voting power to downvote follow and upvote beggers. I think it's a good way to curate comments. It also have more consequences than asking them to stop spamming.

I see you're also testing Busy v2. I think we have to find a solution that is better than the flag or dislike (I think dislike is the better one now).

I don't much care, dislike works, I find that knowing what it does is far more important than what you call it, "report" seems like the worst it's even a offence in my view, to have "report" as anything remote to a feature.. authority, lolz :D

my problems are with the surface level interactions and the lack of engagement in this platform, I don't care how you label stupidity as long as it exists :D

Normally I downvote after a few comments once it's past the talking point, or if there are images, I liked hiding redundant comments in steemit :D so yeah it is curation, I hope there is more of that, sadly curation is rarely rewarded and it's hard to master as well :) proper curation not reward farming from bot votes :D or any other kinds I suppose, anything that doesn't require proper human - human interaction

Yes, you have written exactly what is my problem with calling the same feature flag or dislike. The point is the best label would tell what it does and how you should use it properly, then you could decide it yourself.

Flag or Report is the worst, I agree.
Dislike is misleading a bit. I dislike a politician that you wrote a perfect article, so I hit dislike. It's very opinion based and that behavior would make writers populist.

downvote, works best with the upvote,

thumbs up, thumbs down all fine :D

I rarely place gladiators on their death ground.

The whole concept of the thumbs originates from the gladiatorial epics when the ruler chose based on well popular voting(screaming) :D

wisdom of the crown all leashed and everything :)
