I have a question to the community. I am hoping someone can help me. I read a lot about posting on steemit. But none of them ever said a word about in which topic my post is landing. Can I determine it by myself or does Steemit do this for me?

Tags=topics. The first tag that you put on the tags field under your post will determine the initial topic. You can put several tags in there and it will be associated with those topics but only the first tag is shown with your post. You can also add additional tags in the body of the post with # so it will look like this #question #help #steemit
Ok then i was right. But one thing confuses me. My first two posts where both in the topic "investment" but they both wasn't tagged with "investment" first. But i had two times a similar word, "investment" and "investments" could this be the answer?
"investment" tag goes to "investment" topic and "investments" tag goes to "investments" topic.
If you have both tags then your post will go to both topics. Tags create those topics.
