Why Easter is always on a different date and always on a Sunday!

Let me start by wishing you all a warm and happy Easter!
Easter is one of those celebrations that confuse the living freggles from my eyes! It's always on a different date and because of that, I ask about 34 times when we will celebrate it! It's always on a Sunday though but still... Anyways, I wanted to know why so, I did some reading and stuff. Because I have nothing better to do ya know!
Let's hopperdiehop like an Easter bunny into history! We have to go all the way back to the day Jesus died. He died during the Jewish Easter, Pesach, this is the festival where the Jews commemorate the exodus from Egypt and it is always done on the same date! The Christian form of Easter commemorates the resurrection of Jesus and that was initially celebrated on the same day as the Jewish celebrations.
But, and here we go....A lot of Christians started to nag that it would be easier to celebrate Easter on a Sunday! Duh!!! If it would be the same date on a Sunday I would have agreed, anyways, that's not what this post is about! So, like everything else that has anything to do with the church and religion, they had to discuss this first and with that, I mean that they give or take fought over this change for only 300 years! Rather quick right? Anyhowsss...
In the year 325 A.D, they finally made a choice and they could clap their hands together at the Council of Nicaea! They decided that from that day forward Easter would be celebrated on the first Sunday after the first full moon in Spring! Yupp makes things much easier! Anyways, have a look at it! The Easter dates follow the full moons. And that's why Easter is celebrated at its earliest on 23 of March and never later than the 25th of April. But at least its always on a Sunday! ((Blinks))
Now that I got this off my chest, I think it's time for me to hop into life with my amazing new bunny ears! Which I bought give or take 2 months too soon but the moon smiled, it was full two days ago!
Happy Easter!
Since 325, Easter has been set to commemorate every first Sunday after the first full moon, or known as. Every year, it occurs twice.
This is an informative post madam, I never even know anything of such before until I read it from your post. Happy Easter to you too madam, I do hope you enjoy your holiday.
Happy Easter! I didn't realize that that is how they determine what date it will fall on. Very interesting. I also didn't know that it took 300 years to decide that lol. That's a long ass time. Thanks for doing the research. Now I know!

According to historical records the Western Church determined Easter based on the Gregorian calendar, while Eastern Orthodox churches used the Julian calendar. Although sometimes there are similarities in Easter celebrations, but often these two groups celebrate Easter on different days.
The fall of the Easter celebration is not fixed on the same day because it is determined based on the calculation of the circulation of the moon and also the sun. | Illustration: 1.bp.blogspot.com "] [/ caption] Maybe not many people know that Easter celebrations that will be celebrated by Christians in various countries in the world are sometimes carried out on different dates, so every Easter day is not always on the same date.
According to the Bible, Jesus was crucified at the same time around the celebration of the exodus of the Israelites from Egypt (Jewish Passover) which fell during the full moon at the time of the night and the length of the afternoon in the spring (vernal equinox). Since the Herbrew calendar is based on the circulation of the sun and also the moon, the date of the release of the Israelites from Egypt is not the same every year.
According to Lutz Doering, an expert from the University of Durham, England, based on the New Testament (New Testament), Jesus rose on Sunday, but it is not clear on what day or when Christians began to celebrate this Easter day.
I don't know the answer, friend ... but after I read your writing I got a lot of knowledge about your religion. Thank you friend.
Its not even on the same day every year according to the asian lunar calendar. Today is 3.17 and last year it was 2.16

I believe there is this mindset that Jesus rose on the sabbath day and so majoring easter was always fixed to sunday
Not really a Christian celebration. It's always a week after the first bunny of the is caught having sex.
Gets tricky at times which is why it was late this year
That's really interesting. I had no idea why Easter was always on a different day. I hadn't really given it much thought. Thanks for informing me!
