In this article I will analyze QuarkChain, a blockchain project which aims to achieve 1 million transactions per second.
So what is QuarkChain?
QuarkChain aims to be a multi-layer, peer-to-peer transaction blockchain. The first layer of system contains elastic shards, while the second layer is comprised of a root chain, which main task is to confirm the transactions from the first layer. The architecture of QuarkChain is built around finding a balance between security, scalability and decentralization.
IDEA
While the idea is not unique, the methods which will help it thrive are revolutionary, so if they will manage to get to 1 million transactions per second without sacrificing the security of the blockchain, this will be something truly amazing.

TOKEN METRICS
The hard cap is 20 million $, which is average for a blockchain, but I can understand the need for high capital raising, since we are talking about such an ambitious project. I can see big potential for growth considering what its main competitors are valued at, but only if they can deliver on their promises. However, they are only raising 4 million $ during ICO, the rest was raised during private sale with unknown bonuses.

ROADMAP
The Roadmap looks great, not too long term orientated and full of releases which have the potential to lead to an increase in the value of the tokens. What really stands out is the release of the main net, which will happen in Q4/2018.
Grade: 5/5
TEAM
The team is very strong with over 10 years experience in huge companies like Google or Facebook in developer roles, which makes me very confident that they can achieve their objectives. The advisors are also high reputable persons, most of them are founders / presidents of companies or experts in the blockchain space.
Grade: 4,5/5
PROTOTYPE
QuarkChain already has a working test net, which currently achieves around 6k transactions per second. This is definitely a very positive aspect which makes me think that the team is capable in delivering on their promises.
Grade: 5/5
TOKEN UTILITY
QKC is a non-refundable functional utility token and will be used as a unit of exchange between participants on the QuarkChain network. The whole blockchain is built around the QKC token.
Grade: 5/5
COMPETITION
There is a lot of competition in the blockchain space, with the likes of Zilliqa or Fusion aiming to be the leading projects when it comes to high scalability. That being said, I think it all comes down to who will deliver on their promises first and who can sign the bigger partnerships along the road to achieve that.
Grade: 3/5
HYPE
The Telegram channel is oversubscribed, with around 85k members registered and most of the high influence youtubers are rating QuarkChain as a very solid project, which created a lot of hype around it lately.
Grade: 5/5
Overall conclusion
QuarkChain is one of the most solid blockchain projects out there, with a great team and a working test net, which already proves they are a serious project worth investing. The hype around it is huge, so it could be very tough to get into the whitelist, but it will definitely be worth trying.
Final grade: 4,5/5 (excellent)
That being said, I will definitely try to get on the whitelist for the ICO, and even if I won't be able to do it, I will buy some QuarkChain as soon as it hits the exchanges, because I really think this is the one blockchain project which will stand out from the rest in the end.
As usual, please make sure you do your own research before investing in any ICO / token and if you liked the article, don't forget to up-vote / comment / re-steem it and check my other ICO reviews as well.
Thank you.
