This is closely related to Qatar's economic and political conditions post-embargo by Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Yemen, Kuwait and the Maldives. Because of this embargo some foods become very rare, because 80% of food is imported, especially milk.
In addition, transportation to Qatar also faltered after Saudi Arabia closed its land, air and sea borders with Qatar. The same is done by Bahrain and United Arab Emirates bordering the land directly with Qatar.
All of these countries also refused to be landed by Qatar Airways and have banned domestic flights to Hamad International Airport in Doha.
