It's a good exercise in coding for one. I taught myself Python doing this, and then re-writing it as the 1st version was so badly coded. That's what you get when you start.
I prefer to be in full control of my VP, and don't have time to vet everything so yes.., this is very handy for me.
I agree that when you code, you also develop your skills, which can only be a plus.
But looking at myself, we're only human, and we're not perfect. If I were to strive for perfectionism everywhere, I would get lost somewhere...
