So you've all heard of the Rubik’s cube, right? Well, did you know that they can come in many different shapes and sizes?
Well, we have already covered the different shaped Rubik’s cubes, here; https://steemit.com/puzzle/@jbreezy/have-you-seen-the-new-rubik-s-cubes. But to spare you the time of going to that link, basically there are Rubik’s cubes that have different shapes on them, and Rubik’s cubes that are different shapes, (not cubes).
Anyway, let's get to the real question, what is the biggest Rubik’s cube there is? Well, if we are talking actual size of a Rubik’s cube then first we should know some basics. A traditional Rubik's cube is 57mm long on each side, but it can go as low as 5.6mm, the worlds smallest cube. The world's biggest Rubik's cube comes in at a whopping 1.57m long on each side, (or 1570mm). This was built by Tony Fisher, a Rubik’s cube designer and builder. (The big Rubik's cube he built is the main photo, or the first photo, up above with Tony standing next to it).
These are just some of his puzzles
But if we are talking big as in how many layers it has, then that's a whole different story. A traditional Rubik’s cube has three layers, by three layers. But the world's biggest Rubik's cube in this category is the 17x17 Rubik’s cube, which Kenneth Brandon of Long Beach, California solved in 7.5 hours!
So anyway, I bet you didn’t know about those two big cubes. Thanks for viewing, please upvote and comment what you would like to see in the future! Thanks everyone, Jared
My goodness thats huge!
