Yaron Brook, executive director of the Ayn Rand Institute will be a speaker at Puertocrypto, a blockchain conference taking place in Puerto Rico this coming March 14th to the 16th...

At first you'll think... Ayn Rand, Atlas Shrugged, John Galt, island in the Caribbean... Utopia for cryptos, bro!!!
But is the AR institute about that? Is Brook about that? Does he want that kind of society?
Ironically enough, he seems to disagree with that kind of society.

He's not even a libertarian. He actually despises them.
On a podcast with the founder of the Ayn Rand Institute, Leonard Peikoff, Brook demonstrates his anti-libertarianism, stating at one point that libertarianism has been co-opted by anarchists, and that the movement should have died when Rothbard died.

If that isn't odd enough, check this out.
During the 2008 US presidential election, Mr. Brook was asked who would Rand support for president were she alive.

Who could she support? Brook should know enough about Ayn Rand to make a guess, right?

Should we make a guess? Let's see...
Ayn Rand supported Barry Goldwater for president in 1964. Also, she was big on economic freedom and hated big government.
So...
At the 2008 election, who was the most similar to Goldwater and was advocating for less government intervention?
Anyone who campaigned on the message of individual Liberty, smaller government, advocating free enterprise?
Anyone who stood out in favor of Liberty?
YES! Ron Paul!
Yet this wasn't enough for Brook to even deem Ron Paul "the lesser of evils".
Brook said he wished for Paul to "just go away", lied about Ron Paul not using terms like crony capitalism, saying he is anti-business when in reality Paul is probably the politician who has spoken of Crony Capitalism the most, before, during, and after the campaign.
Brook also made other excuses to dismiss Paul's potential by criticizing him on foreign policy and domestic policy, calling him "isolationist", one of the terms the fake news propaganda machine used to dissuade people from Paul.

His use of mainstream media approved terminology doesn't stop there.
He even made use of "unelectable". One of the favorite smear words used by the status quo propaganda networks against Paul.

So this guy, as someone who supposedly opposes the Federal Reserve, government welfare, government mandated healthcare, interventionist foreign policy("on theory" maybe?), the EPA, Social Security, big spending, big government, has the opportunity of a century to back a presidential candidate that agrees with him of all those things and what does he do? Call him "unelectable"? Accuse him of being "anti-business" and "anti-American"?
If you want to read more about his discontent with Ron Paul go here.

Pro-Military Industrial Complex

Brook uses the term "we" when speaking of US military action, despite being an Israeli citizen.
He agrees with much of the US' military intervention and military foreign aid given to countries like his.
He, on more than one occasion, has called for war against Iran, Israel's #1 priority in terms of attacking a country.
He agrees nuking Japan, twice, was a good strategy, and is constantly calling for using nukes on more than one Arab nation.
His affection for government violence goes against the individualist free market utopian idea that you would think a follower of Ayn Rand is in search of, and definitely against the type of decentralized world most cryptocurrency enthusiasts are trying to forge.

Blockchain technology, the Bitcoin revolution, cryptos, those wanting to shed off the middle man, the idea of central banks being replaced, government taxation being replaced by crowd funding via cryptos, are all things Ayn Rand, in her right mind, would have supported. Now, Yaron Brook, doesn't seem to be in tune with that.

So why the hell is he going to this convention?
What does he think he'll find at a blockchain conference?
What does he think people want to do with cryptos?
Is he that stupidly uninformed?
Is he an opportunist trying to promote his group?
Is he trying to infiltrate and persuade people to go easy on the status quo?
