It is difficult to avoid once you have celebrity status on social medias. The irony of this is the greatest success in the use of the internet is the networking of people and ideas yet it is not always rosey. Got to always be careful who you meet online a scam much as if it was in person. Thanks.

its funny and sad in the same time when a see post like this and then comments like sexxygirl and specially everytime a see new steemian giving them up vots.
on the video its a tough one when a get a comment am not sure if it fake or not. making it harder to get good relationships here on the platform. atlist its a steep learning curve
Agree mate, it will get even harder to uncover manipulators when you work together with them or when you consider them your friends.
I could wish the wallet was censored on the users total value of it. in a way but its almost impossible a guess.

hahaha this isn't expert manipulation, this is just level 1 here in steemit :p
I think you can easily understand who most of them are just by looking at their comments or the private message that they sent you. Now let's move to the next leve in which as you said they use great comments only to seem nice to you.
If they ask you something in private that is related to ''help'' by voting them cast them aside. Later on if you aren't sure about someone you can easily check his posts, wallet and comments. From that i bet you can learn a lot for that person. Finally, if still you are not sure you can ''test'' them by not upvoting their comments or by upvoting some of their posts with extremely low % like 0,01$ and see how that goes.
You can easily flag some of them though or click not to see their comments. It won't solve the problem but it will give a message

i never said or implied something about your intellect. It was a general comment to something that 's basically happens to anyone having a bit of SP and then suggested some things that could be done. The ''you'' part is for the message to be more direct to the reader.

You are right about manipulation happening here, some people especially begin to insult others to make them angry and after start to complain about them, I am also very careful here, I try to not let my emotions win, but sometimes it's hard to control ourselves, I just block or mute such people,you can't imagine how many people are blocked by me right now. I completely understand you and I wish you never meet such manipulators.
I do very well letting my emotions out in real life and here on Steem. I am not restricting myself to be liked by others.
