What is a déjà vu?

Hey community! Does this phrase sounds familiar? Well, it might be a déjà vu.

What is it? Why does it occur? You know those moments in a current situtation feels like happened? Sometimes you may feel it was in a dream. But you're quite sure you've lived that moment before, it's almost familiar to you.

First thing first, déjà vu is a french expression called " already seen" . Not everybody have felt a déjà vu before, but whoever felt this sensation before describe it as an overwhelming sense of familiarity with something, usually a situation.

I remember the first time it happens to me, i was in the back seats of my dad car, and a little kid cross the crosswalk with a yellow jacket and a black bonnet. Then a brand new audi cross the road between us, and when the kid pass through i remember watching a bird flying. All those moments felt so much familiar to me, with was like literally that moment was happened befor, i don't know if it was in a dream or a memory...

A déjà vu may be a symptom with many possible causes. A lot of theories about what causes it involves a disconnet that may be occurring between the deep structures of the brain that process our experiences unconsciously.
It happens much more times then you think, do you know the feeling of "tip of the tongue"? when you almost remember that name or that word you're looking for? It might be a movie, a name of a person, or just a word that you can't remember at the moment. This occurence in our brain is similar to a déjà vu. What happens is that, your brain is remembering other words similar to the word you really want, and to help you out your brain is actively blocking other stuff around including the word you're looking for.
