RE: Why do some people tend to sabotage themselves?

in #psychology7 years ago

Sincerely, fear of the unknown takes a toll on productivity and one would just end up doing nothing.
I used to call it

being busy but doing nothing

One would tend to "lie" to oneself and give an excuse for not finishing or starting the activity. Sometimes, one will make a plan but end up not carrying out the"plan" all because the plan has scared the person.

Your post has helped me highlight some areas where ihave self-sabotaged and i will work towards adjustments.

Awesome post @dedicatedguy

being busy but doing nothing

that's an excellent and efficient way to put it man.

I didn't knew that phrase, its spot on!

It really defines what a lot of people (including me) do.
I have recently been fighting myself against that. At least now that i know, i try to make sure that if i am "busy" i am "doing something"
