Wow @realtreebivvy for someone new to the field you have really quickly adopted a good foundation! It's a huge field and you can keep going further and further in depth. It is nice when things just start to "make sense". I completely agree that the state (which has it's hands in everything) acts to intervene in what would otherwise be healthy psychological development. Social inputs are certainly a factor.
