The cult to the slim woman

in #psychology7 years ago (edited)

It is paradoxical that in today's modern and developed society where fundamental principles are equality between gender, race and cultures, we still clearly see how, apparently behind these principles, we continue to bear, and even unknowingly, through its behavioral characteristics we protect our gender, racial and cultural individuality. The struggle for the imposition of women as equal members of society is absolutely justified if we look back in the past and trace the trends in the development of society. In fact, the cult of the weak woman does not simply express the aesthetic preference for weak forms, but hides many complex and subconscious associations in the male brain. The illusion of defenselessness created by the weak body makes the man feel strong, calm and mature. From a biological point of view, the differences in the structure and shape of the male and female body are indisputable and are in fact due to the different physiological functions that sexes perform for both sexes.

Since ancient times, the main characteristic of man has been to find symbols in the surrounding material world to facilitate his perception and categorization. If we pay attention, we will notice opposition to all the main categories - good-evil, beautiful-ugly, little-more and in that order of thought, the polar perception of man-woman sounds logical and in its place. Moreover, it is scientifically proven that there are significant differences in the functions of the male and female brain, and the better or worse development of different parts of the brain makes both genders unique in themselves. Physical inequality in modern society is not considered to be an objective criterion for self-determination but, on the other hand, its influence is fully understandable if we think of how great the strength and endurance for family survival and protection have been in the past. Based on this thesis, we can define the struggle for gender equality as a symbolic and peculiar struggle to preserve the status quo of the man as a protector and "leader of the flock". As an example of how deep these roots have these concepts and how long they have been in our perceptions, we can look at the definition of a "feminine figure," which automatically calls into our minds a fragile and weak body with pronounced or, as we still call them, "feminine" curves .

These and similar examples illustrate cultural expectations as well as subliminal manipulation over a woman for centuries that, in order to be happy and accepted by society, it must necessarily fit into the generally accepted notions of beauty because the criteria on which it is judged by others in a larger percentage are related to appearance, not to intellect and achievement. From an objective point of view this is undoubtedly incorrect, but most people are embroiled in this understanding. Moreover, as we all know, the role of the family in building the world is progressively diminished by the growing influence of the media and globalization, and so even trying to educate adolescents that the outlook should not determine their attitude towards others they face with the reality and preferences of society from an early age in the form of artificial ideals of beauty in magazines, the internet, toys and fairy tales they grow. If we analyze a childlike story involving a female character, we will notice that the description emphasizes the beauty and grace of the heroine, which makes it desired by the prince of dreams. In general, even unconsciously, we are still preaching that beauty is virtue. It is precisely because of the importance that society has on the appearance of women that each feels compelled to fit these criteria in order to be complete and accepted by others, but above all the opposite sex. The consequences are deprivations and limitations negatively affect the physical and mental health of the growing generation. The scale of the consequences of the distorted ideas of the modern woman and the victims she is ready to do in the name of the "perfect" body. And the results can be seen everywhere around us - this is the intelligent, modern teenage woman or mother who, despite the many qualities she can impress with, prefers to do it with a cut-necked and short skirt to showcase the body that is sculptured with numerous deprivations, diets and training, and increasingly with the help of plastic surgery. She is offended when she does not appreciate her intelligence, but she is offended when she does not notice her sex appeal. She wanders between her quest to emancipate and be treated as equal to her husband, and her instinct to be weak, feminine and led.

It is undoubtedly the influence of cultural evolution, and it has a major difference: while before, the beauty and the fragility of the woman were the means to be controlled and obeyed, today she very well realizes her influence and skillfully manages to turn them into her secret weapon, with which to gain passive supremacy over the masculine class and to derive dividends. From this point of view, it is foolish to perceive women as sacrifices, because many of them accept and approve their role, even nourish the stereotype they are supposed to complain about and complain about. The path to change these stereotypes and beliefs is long and thorny, and the success of such an initiative is questionable, precisely because of the complex and deeply planted perceptions of a part of society and the benefit they bring to the rest. One thing is certain, true beauty is not hidden in the body's shapes, but in our spirituality and deeds it remains, regardless of age and gender, so we must learn to appreciate it and keep it and stop comparing it with others, but to enjoy what we have. Women have to find new measures for their self-confidence because, as Charles Montesquieu said: "The woman has only one opportunity to be beautiful, but to be attractive there are a hundreds of opportunities."

many people view only from beauty that is the trick of the world but one thing the woman keeps human mother do not behave like father Karen man is leader

I definitely agree with you on this. If you look at the dating standards now and with dating apps in the modern era as well as the ecosystem present, it resonates with me that women now can attain that top of the dating chain status.

This article is very interesting @godflesh. When something is about women then there´s a lot to say. Best regards from @presentnworldsc.

True , the woman is an object in the world

Excellent post Is that the ideological problem that surrounds the image of women in society is so invasive that it is very difficult for the same woman to assume it. This tendency is forged from the home in the home it. It is a social problem that we all must recognize.

Very interesting

The role of women in the family is not appreciated, we must count the time and effort that she makes to form stable and honest men and women who live in harmony with their environment, making a better world. What is the price?

@godflesh, your phantom why a lady should lead the world. I belief in equality regardless of gender. There is something I fancy about the women, it is devotion. When a lady put are mind into something, she is always willing to adapt, deploy strength, endure, develop internal locus of control towards achieving a goal.
