Anger is a normal, healthy emotion. Everyone gets angry at some point in their life, after all we are only human. However, it can be a problem if you find it difficult to keep it under control. Although anger is different for everyone some may only be short term and will forget all about it afterwards but for some people, anger can get out of control and cause problems with relationships, work and even their health. Long term and not treated can lead to health conditions such as high blood pressure, depression, anxiety and heart disease. Hence, it is important to deal with anger in a healthy way that doesn't harm you or anyone else.
So, what makes us angry? It can be about a lot of things including being treated unfairly and you feel you can't do anything about it because you feel powerless, things didn't turn out well as you have expected, losing someone close to you when you are struggling to go on with life, being fired from work, dealing with fussy customers, going through financial breakdown or working to patch things up with your rocky marriage and the list go on..
Dealing with anger, it is important to recognise your anger signs first. If you feel that your heart beats faster and you breathe more quickly these are the signs that are preparing you for action and losing control. I have read on how you could deal with anger or at least reduce it.
Count To 10
Counting to 10 gives you time to cool down and you can think more clearly and overcome the issue or problem in a more professional way.Breathe Slowly
Breathe in and breathe out, just relax as you breathe out. This will calm you down effectively and help you think better.Exercise
Exercise is a good way to get rid or reduce of anger, stress and depression.Get Creative
Writing, listening to music, dancing or painting can release tension and reduce feelings of anger.Talk About How You Feel
Discussing your feelings with a friend or partner can be useful and can help you get a different perspective on the situation and overcome your problems.Looking After Yourself
Make time to relax regularly and ensure that you get enough sleep. This may help to keep you calm.
If you find these helpful and works for you, i'm sure everything around you will fall into place and you realized you just gotten rid of the parasite that had been messing up your life. 😉
