RE: Psychology Addict # 23 | Existential Psychotherapy – When Psychology & Philosophy get together.

That was very much interesting to read, thank you!

Existence as verb-like – humans are active beings always creating and changing their world.

I would like to refer to this statement in particular. I associated with it the mentioned Eastern related philosophy. "verb-like" reminded me so much on the processes of all life-forms that I cannot resist to give you a memory from a speech of a Buddhist monk who said in his lecture that "matter" actually isn't something you can put your hand on and that all "nouns" are not nouns but processes mistakingly perceived by us as matter.

He picked a chair as an example and said: "a chair is not a chair but 'chairing' - using the verb shows the ongoing process of all things coming into existence and going out of existence. All life therefore is just changing in time & space and depends on influences and conditions.

To see it that way can be liberating in relation to a problem or an anxiety. Though it is hard to come a long way to finally fully accept and hugg this notion. I guess, I only grasped it intellectually. Curious how I will deal with my own anxieties when the going gets tough.

For you I wish you also a Merry Christmas and may peace, love and care be with you.

P.S. can I copy your footer? It's really lovely.

Beautiful, I have copied and pasted your comment on a word document @erh.germany. Isn't the Buddist philosophy just incredible. I have so much to learn from it :D

Thank you for your Christmas wishes, the same to you and your family!

Yes, I think the same. And ... so much to learn, so little time - I am an admirer of many idols I have collceted during time in the area of Buddhism.
