"They" told us wrong
It is kind of a taboo topic but it is something that in this day and age people are beginning to take notice of. Psychedelic medicine is in the news, and is becoming part of pop culture in ap positive way. 40 years ago "they" told us that psychedelics were dangerous but these days you may hear stories of people being saved by psychedelics. Mushrooms are curing people who have cluster headaches, LSD is helping people in theraputic environments, and even a synthetic psychedelic MDMA is being used now to treat people with PTSD and other forms of trauma. It is obvious that "they" weren't completely right to tell us that psychedelics have no value, in fact psychedelic medicines have been being used among ancient culutres for thousands, possibly millions of years. Go tell the Shaman's in the Amazon that their Ayahausca tea has no value...they will probably laugh at you and feel pity for your weak mind.
That shit ain't medicine
Whether people want to admit it or not psychedelics are medicines, just like these so-called medicines pharmacutical companies give us..well not just like, because psychedelic medicines are actually good for you and most if not all psychedelics cause no organic harm to your body. We all hear the stories of oxy over dose, or how about the new thing fenatyl..kids are dying from this shit all across the world but these are prescription "medicines", yeah right.
Psychedelic Medicines
I have been doing psychedelics for a very long time now, since about the age of 15! Now, don't get ahead of yourself...I am not talking about LSD, or mushrooms I am talking about good ol' fashioned mary-jane...cannabis. Yes, for those who might not know, weed is classified as a psychedelic "drug", because of it's ability to be a hallucinogen. Weed is one of the world's oldest psychedelic medicines too and at one point this country condemned the use of marijuana but in today's age now we see legalization of marijuana and also the medicinal use of marijuana on SO MANY levels, like I said they gave us wrong information. It wasn't until later in my life though, that I tried a true psychedelic "drug" and it was LSD, I was 23 years old.
Psyches and my Spirit
My whole life for as long as i can remember i had been searching for something in life that has deeper meaning. I am a deep thinker, and an observant person and i wanted something to fill that love for things outside of the self. I didn't always accept "religion" as a form of spirituality though, it all seemed like a sham and something i could never truly believe in. It just seemed fake, and for me i wanted my spirituality to be real. Coincidentally it wasn't until i was in prison at the age of 25 that i began to find my sense of spirituality through Christianity. At the age of 30 after prison, and after leaving Christianity i decided to take some mushrooms for "fun".....little did i know i had a whole spiritual experience in store for me. I pushed my brains to the limits and taking the mushrooms helped me to make some serious decisions i had to make in my life at the time.
It was at this point that i began to realize how much psychedelic medicines play a role in my own outlook and spirituality in this lifetime. Psychedelic medicines help me to broaden my perspective completely, about any situation. I become an ego less opinion on my life and i am able to guide myself through the tough times a little easier. Psychedelic medicines feed the open minded soul with more open mindedness and ego death allows me to see myself for who i truly am in these moments. It is an amazing thing, and since then...since the age of 30 i have accepted psychedelic medicines as a form of spiritual practice in my life.
Psychedelics are even said to be used in Buddhism as a spiritual medicine http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/zig-zag-zen_us_55c3c6f6e4b0d9b743db81d5Each psychedelic medicine has its own special properties that i appreciate and use when i need to. I mostly take lsd and mushrooms to get into this spiritual zone, but really it doesn't matter which psyche i do because i almost always have a spiritual lesson to learn within the trip.
Next year i plan on take my first spirit walk in Arizona. Which is a legal spiritual psychedelic practice, where i will legally be able to ingest mescaline cacti (peyote) and spirit walk on the grounds of the Peyote Way Church of God. This will be my first time doing a psychedelic under official guidance and i am very excited for this to happen. I have been told by many people that they see the power of healing in me, and i believe taking my spirit walk will bring me one step closer to fulfilling my healing ability.
My Plans
One day i want to open up my own ayahausca or peyote retreat, i want to become a Shaman and use these abilities i know i have to help people the way psyches have helped me. Hopefully in 10 or 15 years i will be able to achieve this goal and bring some balance to the world..this is my ultimate goal in life.
If you want to know more about psychedelic medicine, do hesitate to hit me up. I have a wealth of information on the topic and i always willing to share with my friends. Until next time everyone, peace and bliss!

First off the first picture in the post is mint. Second as a proud proponent of micro dosing i love this post! LSD micro dosing has literally saved my life. I have spent the last few years in a rut and it took 20ug every few days to stabilize my thoughts and remove a lot of angst and anger. Thank you for this post and steem on! Follow for a follow?? Love your page!!
Speak the truth, brother. This is pure gold. Looking forward to your spirit walk!
thanks bro!
Nice post man. I one day too hope to have the chance to try peyote, it would be best to do so with some guidance on a spirit walk like that if I ever got the chance, I am excited for you. I can account for several times in my life where mushrooms have made a significantly positive impact. This form of medicine has helped me more than the other proposed solutions.
I also thought that you cut the part on LSD a bit shorter... I'd like to hear your comparison to that and mushrooms, considering I haven't had an LSD experience, but have always been curious.
@kemosabe i am going to do a whole trip report on my first acid experience, so keep on the look out for that!
Great to hear! Something I was told is reflected at Darpan.com
"I find that the equation between what benefit people derive from ayahuasca is often determined by their intent and their sincerity. To me, this element is as powerful as the tea itself. The tea is the force, the spirit. In any given session its as if we set out on a boat together. Intent is the rudder on the ship and the tea is the wind in the sails." - Darpan

Very true. The ultimate trip is the one you go in and assert your inheritance.
That is you go in with a strong meditation and intention of mind to experience yourself as Spirit, the Universe, or what religious people think of as God.
Glad to find a steemian really worth to follow. Will read your older posts.
@killuminatic thank you bro i will follow you too man.

No matter how long it takes or whatever is thrown your way, fear not. Again I say FEAR NOT, stand your ground and.. I can't tell you exaxtly what happens if you are victorious, for this is your ultimate destiny.

@righwithin thank you :D
Great post. I once spent some years remote up a mountain with the wachuma Cactus......wow. Peace @waykiwayki
I had been smoking M. J. on daily basis for 12+ years only to discover it really messed up my life (put a lot of anxiousness there) so I quit and now I do it 5-10 times a year and can really enjoy the insights it gives me. So for moderation is the name of the game. But mushrooms are where it's at. Do them in good natural setting and they'll really show you what an intricate interwoven web of connections this planet/universe is. Haven't tried DMT yet but based on other people's experience I have lot of expectations. It actually has very similar molecule to psilocin (the active ingredient of mushrooms) with just one OH group of difference (two atoms). So I suspect they are the key masters of the same vault.
@rondonson Great post man .. it's a shower for the mind & soul
Very good post, I think very well how the subject was approached. They say that ayahuasca is a drink that awakens the consciousness and the inner being that we carry inside. Even those vague memories of our subconscious @rondonson
