That they're trying to rev up support to go to war in Syria? I don't think they care about public opinion anymore, and regardless, jingoists like trump and his cult are more than happy to comply, and we all knew someone like him was coming.

If you're saying it rev up support to allow in immigrants, which I don't think you're saying, there's little needed for that.
Videos like the following is what any non-right winger can't argue with. You don't need sympathy for them, we've done more than enough vile ourself to justify it.

In terms of what I believe you were talking about, the former, that it was to justify war, there hasn't been an inch of movement on the left. It's still non-intervention and simply provide humanitarian aide, no arms, no bombs, nothing but food, water, and the like.
