This is the long-awaited closure everyone has wanted since the first half of the summer adventure reel from your favourite blockchain hoser. I only have room for a few more followers before this gets ridiculous so it might as well be you.

In this edition, I am going to make my summer flash before your eyes with extra pictures and fewer words.

Summer is...

Trips to the Big City

Our Toronto Bluejays were not all that good this year but we watch anyway. Good reason to head into the city.



Another is to watch a training partner fight on a UFC prospect fight card. Gotta support your boys!

Getting Out of the City

Camping is about as summer as it gets. I had a few chances to sleep in a tent in forests all around this region.


Even better than camping is cottaging! How I snagged a week in the middle of paradise this busy summer is beyond me and I may try and make this a habit.

Drinks!

You are not going to see much mention of work in summer highlight posts but this is one of them. Summer is awesome for enjoying the nice weather with a drink. These beauties were all business though as they were just pictures for a social media client Revival House



I think I mentioned brewing in the first edition of What I Did This Summer. If not, one of the biggest benefits of brewing for yourself is keg beer on a deck at a cottage.



Not only do we think our beer is good. We entered an amber into a fall fair contest and took home first prize! Summer beer win!

Music

I shared some music in the first edition as well but there was so much this summer, I had to save some for the Sequel! One of the highlights of my year is getting on this stage at a music festival and playing all kinds of songs with friends. This time, I got to perform a few songs with my daughter playing along.



In addition to that, I was invited to jam with some local musicians who have been working themselves up to live shows and writing music. When it rains, it pours as there is also a possibility of jamming with a band called Ozzy/DC. Probably as awesome as it sounds and I will let you know if that happens.

Brewery Tours

It seems like years since I was able to make trips to random towns for brewery tours. This year, it was ON again and #beersaturday is the best place to follow those adventures. I still have to cover this one so you might get to see that one before too long.



The only proper way to toast a fresh pint is tips in.

Fighting!

I really didn't get to hit the mats too many times this summer. I did get a bunch of sessions in and got to pose with all the newer brown belts. I will get back to that in Oct & bring you along.

Chickens!

Gotta get out and visit some family farms in the summer!

Cars

I just LOVE how the classic cars all come out to play in the summer.

Gardening

The growing season up here is a little shorter than in the south but still long enough to grow your own food and share it in a garden blog! I think these are black brandywine variety?

Enjoying Home

In a summer tourist town, getting out and enjoying some of what a half million visitors per year come to see is a treat too.

Dogs

Summer is for the dogs right? Might as well enjoy it right along with him.

Some of us are more easily amused than others and this is my little guy inflating his face out the car window.

Evenings

We capped the last day of summer off with a camp fire in the yard. Not sure why it is so special to huddle near a fire as the sun goes down but it damn well is. Whether you are a hundred miles from anywhere or right in your back yard, summer is awesome.
