Hive Stake Based Income (Hive SBI) is a social experiment to bring a voluntary crowdfunded basic income to as many Hivers as possible. Members join by sponsoring others into the program. Hive SBI is delivered through providing regular upvotes to member content.

The purpose of this account is to invest all HBD into 100% Hive SBI for the contest winners; this is to grow the rewards provided in the contest (and also increasing the SBI payout to this account), to introduce Hivers to Hive SBI, and to help grow the winners' accounts. This account is run by @stevescoins.

Don't be concerned with the obvious disconnect between the names HBD and SBI. SBI was originated on Steemit, and brought here after the @justinccp fiasco.

The subject

Although this is an #informationwar contest, it's aimed at people who are not members of #informationwar, #deepdives, #conspiracy, or #fakenews. Members of these communities are free to enter, however (just identify yourself if you do contribute to these communities). The point is to survey the outside perception of these groups in order to improve writing when appealing to "outsiders".

If you aren't familiar with the groups I'm discussing, take your time and check them out for a bit.

You can keep it short, but make sure you answer these questions:

• Are you aware of these communities?
• Do you know what the purpose these tags are intended to serve?
• Do you have a positive, neutral, or negative view, of the tags in question?
• How do you find the quality of the writing? I'm not asking if you agree with the material, just how well put together the presentation in general the writers are
• Do you find the material in general to be more, or less honest than the mass media entities (i.e., less flip-flopping, or changing the story, lying-by-omission, or open partisanship, etc)
• What are the things that YOU look for while gathering facts to make decisions?

Please keep things civil; there is a rather dishonest attempt on this platform to brand these communities as creating hate speech. If that is your opinion, feel free to share it, but don't get hysterical or insulting. This goes for our side, too...don't be calling folks sheeple, and most certainly, don't point out my own hypocrisy in using the term recently, myself! 😊

Write a blog on the above subject on your account, as wordy or as concise as you like (keeping in mind that I prefer entries with good argumentation)

How to win

This week will probably be judged by @stevescoins (me), but I will attempt to get a judge who has written extensively on the issue at hand, and who has demonstrated over 4 years his commitment to civil argument here on the blockchain.

The contest post was rewarded with 0.398 HBD, 0.963 HP: With 10 base shares, the post generated 1 additional share, for a total of 11 shares.

I liked @moon-city's entry the most, so I gave her 7 shares of HIVE SBI. I awarded each of the other entrants 1 share each. Now, one or two shares isn't much, but as you accumulate them, it starts to show some value...it's like HP, just keep earning a couple here and there, and sooner or later you'll have over 1000 HSBI, and trust me, that does show up in your rewards!

I am also sponsoring a BEER and PIZZA party for the entrants; I only get one use a day, and I've already got 3 of you, so I'll catch the other 2 of you soon.

Upcoming writing contests will be conducted on a weekly basis, and there will be contests put up for Halloween (most likely all month), 4th of July, Texas Independence day, Christmas, and New Years. Most of the contests will be #informationwar related, however, I'll try to do fun stuff at least once a month.
