Fans were devastated by the death of Helen McCrory, who died in 2021 , leaving fans wondering if her character ( Aunt Polly ) will make any appearance in the new season.
Aunt Polly is known as Thomas Shelby’s Aunt from his father’s side, who assisted in the Shelby business when the Shelby brothers are not available.
Watching the Peaky blinders you will know that Aunt Polly is the strong woman behind all the male power known as patriarchy, but she served as the matriarch and also the family leader. Of course she also had her moments of weakness but what kept her going was the love she has for her family. Even when she and Tommy are not in good terms , Tommy still trust her with the most important information.
It was so tragic when it was announced that Helen McCrory( Aunt Polly) had passed away in April 2021 from cancer, but the filming of the peaky blinders started in January 2021. Given how eager McCrory appeared during the past seasons, there's a decent possibility she recorded in any event a couple of scenes in the beginning before passing away. But the official social media page didn’t specify if she appeared or not, I guess we will have to find out when the season comes out.
