RE: Reminder: Only a few days to go - "Paying It Forward Contest" - 65 POB in prizes

Hello everyone, although new to the community of Hive, since the beginnings of steem I have been a passive observer. With Hive I decided to test the system and signed up via ecency. I have encountered many problems that demotivate newcomers. I have a list of over 30 bad experiences. (But also a longer list of good experience). Here are 3 examples of bad experiences:

  • First bad experience: I am used to writing Scientific publications and I know the rules of plagiarism. (I even built a free application via android to help students and trainers avoid and identify plagiarism). To my surprise my first publications were attacked (Down vote). Some curators considered that I had plagiarized. By trying to justify in scientific rules that the curators were wrong, it caused an avalanche of down votes. So I gave up. But I would publish on this platform a substantial article to explain what should be considered as plagiarism and especially on the web.
  • Second bad experience: I chose the ecency interface for their points system, but this very attractive system lacks structure and communication interface with moderators or administrators. I will also be posting an article on the problems and adventages that a novice can experience using ecency.
  • Third bad experience: When you want to switch from one publication interface to another, it becomes very laborious. let's take as an example, To connect to your publishing interface, I made more than 5 attempts. And I was unable to connect via https://www.proofofbrain.io. While it was made easier via https://www.proofofbrain.blog.
  • .........;
  • .........; etc
    The positives are far superior, but what leaves me on this platform is:
  • its web 3 approch, especially the decentralization of publications.
  • the presence of interesting communities and sympathetic members (interesting to know).

In the case of your community, from the start I followed it and put it in my favorites. It attracted me, by its name (Proofbrain) and by some of its contents.

Looking forward to interacting with this community and all the others ...

Welcome @ mondhero. You make some very valid points. This is a big part of what this contest is all about. Sharing both the good and the bad so that issues can also be highlighted and addressed and the Hive can keep getting better for all concerned. Thank you :-)
