Let me begin with expressing the excitement that filled my heart before, during and after this very created atmosphere. It really was a beautiful moment that everyone would always want to experience. This meetup seemed so long and every single activity including time appeared slow as everyone including myself looked foward to seeing one another.
However, we still hope to have many series of such a sweet moment where @wafrica brings together the love and great minds from different places around the world. It really was never easy to see individuals with different places to be in the same house with that much love which appears to be children from the same parent. I do not recall a single moment during this meetup when there was an issue between some people. We did enjoy a good time and made a great impact on the success of the wafrica community on the steem blockchain and many other platforms.
Before the MeetUp
I still do not know the reason or what really got me inspired to make such a decision to join my other curators for this meetup in Nigeria. It still seems like a shock to me now why I took a flight from Ghana to Nigeria for a meetup. To some people, it certainly doesn't make sense especially when there are other related activities awaiting you. But when you are so much filled with the love of doing something, nothing really can stop you. You never find excuses not to do them but many reasons to. But honestly, I can tell one thing I had in mind that sent me. I just realized my presence at this meetup. Something huge was deep within that made my presence possible which I am so much happy about.
As said earlier, it personally seemed so long just after the date for this moment was announced. Expectations were so high since it really was the very first time some of us were going to meet ourselves in person. But it truly came to a beautiful stay at long last. The day finally arrived and it really was a cool journey I made from Ghana to Abuja, Nigeria for such a beautiful wafrica meetup.
That almost 2hours drive to Abuja got me fairly exhausted and so needed some good rest just when @lordjames was just right at the airport for my pickup. Seeing him for the first time was such a good time as we always have been on phone. We finally got home safely with the other present curators all waiting for me @mcsamm.
During The MeetUp
The joy continued right from my arrival as the entire house received me so well. I least expected that much love since we had never met before. But thanks to every single member of the community for that beautiful days we spent. It truly was something that words will possibly not be enough to describe. Days went by and by which each passing moment never got wasted. Each day seemingly came with its own excitement.
The good times we spent together both inside and outside the house was such a remarkable one. @lordjames my roommate is more than a brother. He makes everything so beautiful as he was the pivot which every day's activity was revolved. His ideas were so superb to be with.
Everything looks as if this meetup is still in session cos I am already reminiscing every single moment spent with all the curators in the house. The smile and love from you @nmalove @phunke @gbija @julietisrael @prettyjules158 @jeaniepearl and the sweet @chiama. You guys have no inkling of what the moment spent with you purely felt like. I am so hopeful that this brings us much better love to do many great this on this blockchain milestone.
The support that other steemians like @xpency @jacobite @uchenna and many others brought raised higher the excitement of the house especially when @surfyogi joined to help celebrate @nmalove on her birthday. That was a sweet moment to always remember too. This meetup exposed me to the many people I always have connected to on the steem community but never seen before and so the excitement was certainly deep. Most especially meeting @surfiyogi, the boss of @wafrica was such a great pleasure.
After The MeetUp
One of the painful feelings was to come to a realization of the end of the whole activity. I felt at a point this isn't happening. But we obviously had to depart to our various destinations as we virtually achieved the purpose of the meetup. The love received from members was same love I got from you guys during my exit. Getting back to Ghana gave me a lot of experiences to share with my family and loved ones. This really was my very first time of being in Nigeria and so was really beautiful. The food that these guys served was so much than I expected. I never regretted since I still will not mind to enjoy some more soup and swallow I was given.
There's no truer statement, nothing feels better than being surrounded by a wonderful family. I love this family so much for we are knitted into one. We are very hopeful there is surely gonna be more meetups of such kind in many other possible places as well.
Many thanks to @surfyogi who through his decision made all this a reality. He is more than a great master that the steem blockchain would ever have. My presence to the meetup was made possible because of the sponsorship you made for my flight Jeff. We are so much grateful to you not only for your daily support but also for the directions you give always to ensure the growth of everyone too.
We continue to work together as one people with a common purpose. Stay glued to @wafrica for more and better service.
This is @mcsamm reporting for @wafrica.
You know, it was so exciting man to get to meet you. I have planned to come to Ghana soon but I didn't know you will have to come meet me here. It was such an exciting meet up for all of us and off course, it was a great time having you as my room mate.
I sure owe you a lot more soup like afang, edika ikong and many more and I hope we do this soon with the rest of the Ghanaian family. Family once, family forever.
