You don't have to make it all about Steemit because you didn't prepare for it and also you would havs drifted from the main tone of the video. Also, you already told them to ask their questions in the comment section below and that is really helpful and willing. Don't beat yourself too much on that.
I love what you told everyone, which is, they shouldn't expect too much when they start out on Steemit. They shouldn't even start with high expectations. Showing them Maddie's posts two years ago will affirm that.
Well done guys. This video only affirms the huge sacrifice and amplifies your huge heart of kindness. You are RARE!!! Love you both.
very true bro @olawalium, success is progressive and should be taken step by step and the results will sure show up over time.
Perfecto!. Thanks a lot brother.
We wanted to show people what's possible without them getting ideas in their head that they're going to come on here and make a bunch of money immediately. Just about anyone who has ever started blogging on Steem knows it doesn't happen like that. Like most things that are worthwhile, it takes a lot of effort before you really start to see results.
Exactly. No one had it easy while starting out and with that in mind, they will reduce their expectations and frustrations wouldn't kick in too early for them. I like that.
Our hope is to get people to sign up and start following us. Then they start to realize they can earn a few cents with each comment they leave. Suddenly, a light bulb clicks and they start thinking "Why the heck am I spending all day on these other social media platforms that aren't paying me anything when I could be on here earning cash?"
That is so smarrrrrttttt!. I love that idea.
actually @tangerinetravels very good to make them understand that aspect of the fact that money will not suddenly start rolling in. i can really testify to that. but thank God for people like @olawalium who is always there to answer my every questions and to @tojukaka who introduced me to steemit and to @phait who thought me some basics and to you who is making efforts to empower everyone and anyone who cares to join and give some value and earn some value likewise.
The best advice I can give to newbies is to post some good content on their blog but spend the vast majority of time reading, commenting on posts, and building relationships with other Steemians. You'll get followers, you'll earn some money on comments, and you'll get some votes on your own blogs. As you build those followers over time, your blogs should start earning more.
Nice advice.
It hasnt been really easy as I thought, I have created gOod content most times without getting even a single UPVOTE. At times you almost feel like giving up but I will never give up because " Winners never quite"
infact am even stronger, promoting steemit in my schoOl, environment and also planning of organizing steemit submit soon.
Let's try to support one another.

Exactly, they were honest enough to tell them, so that frustration wouldn't kick in and they won't give up easily. @tangerinetravels are one of a kind.
I am glad i could be of help, brother. I was helped by @kingsolo too, it is normal to help as we have been helped too. Thanks a lot brother.
I've seen that happen too many times. In fact, more often than not.
