May 11, 2018 - Dubai & Northern Emirates: First Meet-Up

Location Hunt? Meet-up? Attendance? Fund? These are some of the big Q's that you need to answer along with your creativity to make an event/occasion to happen. Since @steemph.uae group was created in the UAE there are people who started helping each other and keep everyone updated about this well-known and beautiful platform called Steemit. And because of that, a special task force group ^_^ was created to do the location hunting in Dubai to be the center of the 1st ever meet-up of the members staying in Dubai and Northern Emirates and I was one of those who did the location hunting.

So, let the fun begin! Looking for a location for an event is not an easy task especially if you have a budget to consider and a good location to accommodate everyone. Since I am staying outside the city proper of Dubai, I started my location hunting through emails and got the below replies, which really doesn't comply with our criteria.

Getting the above replies did not help us, so I decided to ask my friend to help me in looking for a place and she gave me these:

And then we eliminated the previous talks and emails with the earlier conversation with the hotels and focused on the below hotels which met our criteria... a little.

1. Avenue Hotel Dubai

• the place is good, food is good but after waiting for the hotel's confirmation in regards with the date, unfortunately, it is already fully booked.

2. Pearl Residence

• ok, now it is down to the last hotel that we contacted, if this will not work, we are then back again to 0. So same as the above, the food and the location are great, but we need to wait for 2 days before we can get the confirmation from the hotel management if they can accommodate us. 2 days had passed and we got the confirmation and all information were relayed to the team for them to decide.

Since this is a team effort and we have people on the ground ^_^ who are really active searching for the place, the team have decided to go with @iamdeth & @paluchie's finding!
