I have noticed some people make use of their wallet in making transfer to people with a memo of asking for upvote.

Everyone on the Steem blockchain wants people to view there blog and also want to get notice in the community by everyone. The fact is, what you are doing if all the community start doing it, will the community or the goal of steemit in creating quality content still exist.

Spamming people with your memo of their wallet or through private chat will place your reputation at risk because people do frawn on that, and it can lead to down voting of your post.

The best way to make success or get notice on the Steem blockchain is to have good a relationship with other steemians, because the true value of steem and steem dollar is relationship.
The best way to be a successful content creator, is to understand what your audience (followers) want and make a good relationship with people by making good comment on people post and aslo enjoy yourself in having good conversation with people around the globe.

Steemit is no get rich quick scheme. You have to put serious efforts in and that consistantly. It's the same as on any other social media, getting successful means putting in a lot of work and even then it's not guaranteed.
