Value is a major requirement here on Steemit, for you to get your desired reward on a particular article then the article has to be valuable.
Value is what makes you stand out here on steemit.

Time is a common commodity given to every human, time Is the only commodity we all have equal portion, some individuals may have more money than others, some more weight than others while some may have more steem than others but everyone has equal time, time is the only commodity that every one has equal portion of.

In other to be noticed here on steemit then you need to start adding value to the community.

When an individual is employed to work in a firm or organization, his remuneration is usually a reflection of his perceived value in the eyes of his employer (what the individual can offer to the firm).
When a particular goods or service is demanded, the amount the consumer is willing to pay is a function of the value attached to such goods or service (the utility derived from consumption).

In life everyone is generally paid in direct proportion to the work they do, how well they do it and how difficult it is to get a replacement.

Therefore , if you want to be known in the Steemit community you have to be a value-adder. Add value to yourself, your blog and the steemit community at large.

Have you ever wondered why most times you when you drop a well defined and quality article but the upvote you get can not be compared to what a whale will get from his/het two lined article? That is simply because of what the whale has contributed to the community, his importance to the blockchain.
