You are welcome to my blog. Today I wanna talk about the challenges of meeting up with our daily Steemit targets, our obligations to a program we hold dear in the face of our daily job. And i will be badly needing your most logical input into this subject matter because, as i write, I appear to be at a crossroad - whether to do away with my business and face Steemit or continue to make do with both concurrently. This is a hard decision I am currently battling with.
Is it possible? Can one actually achieve self imposed targets in Steemit without abdication of responsibilities at work, and still get medically recommended minimum 9 hours of daily sleep?
You understand my point. At times, you are passionate about a cause, a program - just anything you hold in high esteem (in this case, Steemit). You wanna set the pace. You wanna leave lasting footprint and be a shinning example like such Steemit success stories as @infovore, @gavvet, @donkeypong, @curie, @hendrikdegrote, @anwenbaumeister, @stellabelle, @surppassinggoogle, @hanshotfirst, @dragonslayer109, among other great Steemians. You really wanna be counted in the event of Steemit census of "who is who".
You badly wanna meet up. You wanna establish your presence and let Steemians know that you have arrived. You really Wanna achieve a worthwhile goal!
And then something you have less regards for...maybe your day job - just anything - seems to be taking much of your time! Damn! The question is what will you do? What's your opinion for someone like myself who is facing such challenges. To those of you Steemit shinning stars and upcoming ones; how were you able to achieve so much? Were you keeping your jobs while you perform Steemit activities or were you jobless at the time of signing up?
My quest to receive an answer to this puzzling question had led me to chat up @oluwoleolaide on whatsaap, seeking his opinion, asking how he has been meeting up with daily blog post. He's such a good blogger; highly motivated. At times, he makes 3 rich blog posts in a day. When I can barely make one post in 3 days. I wanted to find out his secrets; whether Steemit is the only thing he does. But it wasn't. He works and still blog. Awesome personality. Isn't it?
It is to my personal credit that I discovered Steemit by accident on my own; no one referred me here. I signed up and forgot the account until early July. I stumbled on it again; read about the program FAQ and much later the white paper and fell in love with it.
Out of my love for Steemit and despite being relatively new and so not knowing much, I created a whatsaap group known as #EURONATION STEEMIANS. I invited my whatsaap contacts for a whatsaap-based webinar presentation on Steemit opportunity. And 67 people instantly signed up thereafter. Today, we have increased to 105 members with over 30 accounts being very active. This step goes to authenticate my profound love for Steemit. See the image below...
In #EURONATION, we neither have fat Steem Power (SP) holdings nor a dolphin in our midst. We are all in redfish category. However, we are highly motivated. Our passion keeps us moving. Notable members such as myself - @eurogee, @smyle, @Dray91, @sweetestglo-eu, @honourmaus, and @dante31, have won various contests. These feats within these short span goes to show our level of commitment to Steemit program.
We have received and continue to receive immense support from the 5 Nigerian curators namely @gbenga, @ehiboss, @destinysaid, @ogoowinner and @fisteganos. Others include @surppassinggoogle, @maryfavor, @infovore, @curie, @hanshotfirst, @oluwoleolaide, lots of them. Awesome Steemians. They continue to proffer advices on the way foward to us. To this, we appreciate in no small measure.
All these factors and personalities are my sources of immense motivation; yet my business, which has been my basic source of income, seems to be drawing me back. All attempts to combine them, seem to place my health on the receiving end. Should I go with @oluwoleolaide's advice, a move I think will undermine my health, or summon courage and call it a day with my business?
This is my Agony.
Dear Steemians... Your logical views on this issue will be most appreciated. Thanks for reading.
Yours Naija Boi, @eurogee

Sighs.... I don't know from which angle to take this. It is really tough on you, and you have also mirrored my own frustration, my dilemma concerning this steemit stuff. Where is the time? And what do I do to create time?, without which one will not be able to realise One's full potentials on this platform. Well, my candid advice is this: keep your regular job for now , be ready for the stress that will come with it , knowing that doggedness will crown your efforts with success in the long run. Know when to take it really slow by listening to your health indicators . Most importantly, apply wisdom in execution of these tasks. By God's grace, we will all get there one day.
Insightful and meaningful. Keeping this to my heart. Thanks
Thanks for bringing this up
Am actually in the same shoe with you , more reason I didn't post any article for almost 5 days now and I decided to take off for a week.
Combination of blogging and other work activities has been hard on me
I sleep barely 5hours a day in the last couple of weeks because I have to go to work in the morning , come late in the evening and I still want to perform some other activities and still get a good article posted
Am not giving up because I know someone was in a harder situation than I am and survived it.
My pure advice is not to stop STEEMIT and not to stop your business
You can combine the two in a logical way and succeed in both
Its just planning and setting priorities
Yes you can
Yes you can do it sir !!!
Thanks man. You're such a great motivation
My Advice,
This voice of yours is a voice of a determined soul, if not, it wouldn't be sounding this loud, first and foremost, STEEMIT worth been committed too, and at the same time, if reward on steemit are compared to what you earn working for a particular firm, I bet you, you'll want to quit and shot the door off.
You are a courageous and determined leader of Euronation, even though, everyone writes articles that are not fat fetch as we all's hope it'll fetch, should I say time will tell or abnormalities should be corrected?
I strongly hope and pray abnormalities would be corrected sooner than later.
NB: A Popular Icon on steemit told me barely less than 24hrs that; “will you let steemit work you out, or will you work something out of steemit?” this is a question I was unable to answer before he said to me that honourmaus, imagine if steemit is never in existence.
As you want to make a big difference, I also want to make a notable one too
LET'S KEEP FIGHTING
I BELIEVE BETTER DAYS AHEAD.
I'm @honourmaus Your boy in #EURONATION
Thank you very much my brother and worthy Steemian @honourmaus. This advice is in order.
Steem-On brother, never despair.
I had overcome the days of thinking of Taking Steemit as my full job and ditch my real life work as a Business Development executive and as a Co-founder of an IT firm.
Thanks for your support. You such an inspiration Boss
Most welcome brother
I feel your pains. I wont advixe you to forego any, just find a way to balance both.. I know you will still come out strong no matter what, cause your intelligence surpass it all. Steem on boss. The sky is just a stepping stone.
Thanks. Will look into it
It's not really easy. Because the country is not helping matters. We don't have a choice to stick on something that we can earn from by maximizing our potentials. We will get there gradually. Thanks to you for supporting us all this while. I use to think that steemit.com is the only thing you do for the day.
The country itself has been run aground. Thanks very much.
To me you're a success story, you have produced hard-working steemians and you're indeed an awesome person who carries everyone along, I will advise you to set your priorites , scale of preference but never give up on steemit, a time will come when you can sideline your business and face steemit. But for now keep on pushing boss, Again listen to your health and know when to take a breather.
@sweetestglo-eu...Yours is among the best advice I have ever had in this discourse. It goes to show your a thorough bred psychologist. I appreciate this. Thanks very much
Don't mention boss.. Lol thanks for the compliment
🙏
Its not really that easy to decide but my opinion is do not quit your permanent job for now till you have been making consistent revenue with this community and Stay clear of the lure to do anything you could later be sorry for.
@chidiebere... Hahahaaaa thanks for your opinion. However, '...being sorry for...'as used here means failure in Steemit. No way. Not acceptable
Just a few things can be said about all this.
Patience
&
Priorities
Before learning how to run, first learn how to walk.
We all are learning.
Its not easy pulling out posts day in day out, but if its sucking all the fun out of you, then is it worthwhile? Relax, post, be smart.
Thats all sir @eurogee, thats the advice from the top itself, not me or any curator.
This is rich and succinct. Thanks Boss.
Nicaragua....aqua for my bunghole.....arriba...
What a dilemma bro. I think we newbies are all faced with a similar situation. My advice is that you keep your business while at the same time maintain consistency with steemit. To me, the type of growth in steemit that can stand the test of time, is that which comes gradually through hard work and committment. As you proceed, there is need for you to always assess your performance especially on the area of your articles. The yardstick for measuring growth lies not on the number of articles you are able to post in a week, but on the quality of your articles which is inherent in its level of impact in your audience. Always strive to make your today's article to be better than that of yesterday, this will earn you dedicated rewarders: herein lies the true growth...gracias!
What I will advice is that you plan your day.
See how many articles you can conveniently post in a week, it is not necessary you post daily.
And gradually increase. With time you get use to it.
Run a parallel programs on the two for now.
Thanks @oniraphealeu. Very logical advice. I value this and will certainly take it into consideration
Anything's possible if you set your intentions on winning!
Much love and keep grinding!
Thanks for your opinion
This is a tough one truly but i do not see a reason to drop job for steemit. May be in the nearest future it would be a wise decision, but for now let make what we do on steemit a passion that inspire others. Remember, monetary aspect matters as material condition determine our survival. Thanks
Hmmm, I'd say ; you have to find a way to juggle them both until you have put in place all measures to be successful on steemit. You'd need to understand fully how steemit works; weigh reward to risk ratio, plan properly and have a clear target before quitting your daily job.
Until then; two income streams are better than one. I wish you great success!
Thanks you my friend. Your views are well noted
Wow....amazing boss.
Work life balance will be of great importance in handling this issue.
Thanks brother. Simple and succinct
You're indeed a great man. Keep moving. Nothing comes easy. Together we are great @euronation.
Humbled to do more. Thanks
Hi @eurogee, just want to point out a typo in your post.
That should be @surpassinggoogle, just one 'p'.
In my view, normal users should not view Steemit like a job. It does require a level of dedication which means sacrifice in other areas of your life, if you want to get serious money out of it. I do think that Steem is good as a casual social media site like Reddit where you use for leisure, but it also happens to give a very small amount of income as well.
Thanks. Noted. God bless
@demotruk, it is an honour to have you here and you won't imagine how pleased I am having you as guest of my page for the first time.
Your views are well noted. And will take it into consideration as I make my final decision. Thanks and do visit again
Hmmm. Were do you get the money to buy data to work on steemit? If it is from your job it is important for you to continue joggling the two man. If not where will you get the money to buy data? Some of us who are not working know how difficult it is to get the money to buy data. And has you may know the data doesn't last..
@yaanivapeji....hahahaha.this is a good suggestion bro. Thanks a lot. I value this.
You're doing great man. Ride on bro
Thanks man
I think the trick to handling all this is time management, prioritizing what is most important first. This will help you get through what you need for the day. I have always treated steemit as an 'Extra' as I have seen many users quit their jobs and became homeless when things did not go well on steemit. I would suggest that you keep your job as it is a stable source of income. Steemit as many other cryptocurrencies are very volatile when it comes to the markets and exchanges.
@draginslayer109. It is an honour having you visit this page to render your opinion. I appreciate and will consider it to make my final decision. Thanks sir. And do visit again

It is not easy for everyone my brother, we just have to merge what our culture forces us to do (the day job), and what we love (steemit). But you are doing great.
@Ehiboss. Your presence here to offer your views is most appreciated. It seems lots of people go with @oluwoleolaide'views, so that's what I should be considering now Cuz majority carries the vote.
It is not really easy for up coming steemians like us because we want to leave good foot prints behind and we must as well survive, but we must always have it at the back of our mind that health is wealth and as such it should be taken with great significance. Do not ever jeopardize your health for wealth or any other thing, remember that it is only the living that can spend money .
Hmm... Well said boss, not really easy.. Those moment when u have to minimize steemit tab and replace with your email when a superior comes around you and you show that fake smile 😃, all the same it is not advisable to drop your job at least for now... You can even see the job as another source of inspiration to post ... Lol well done boss... Euronation rocks !!
Indeed, lots of Steemians face similar issue. Thanks for landing a voice
