Thanks, @eric-boucher for the amazing words of yours. I don't know much about drums but I can explain the little I know.
The drummings in the video is a cultural and epic drumming of the Yorubas in Nigeria. The songs are believed to be mixed ascents of the top tribes Nigeria and the movements of the dance tells the stories of the drumming. The stories are native. I hope I am able to give what you want to know about the songs, the dance and the drummings?
I had already realized this parts you shared with me, thanks a lot for doing so anyway.
I have been drumming for over 20 years, especially traditional styles from all over the world and Africa happens to be VERY close to me in relation to this. Northwest African drumming has been with me for over 25 years now, it is in my bones, and my friends from all over the world, including the ones coming from these regions ask me "Where did you learn to speak my language?", when it comes to music.
It was excellent drumming in there and really enjoyed the dancing too. I would have loved to read about the stories depicted in the dance and the rhythmic composition.
Thanks a lot for the information, one way or another, keep your smile, take good care, Steem on and thrive on!
Namaste :)
If there is something I love, it would be acting. I always spend most of the hours of my day dramatizing my doings. It feels good and lively and I have always wish I end up in one of the movies industries.Namaste? Are you Indian?
Not Indian in this lifetime, but a long history of it throughout the ages though... ;)
Namaste :)
