Do you know OpenCollective?
This is a service for donating to OSS(Open Source Software) developer.
Many developers are given a lot of value from OSS.
However most developers(maybe 95%) have been paying no money.
Of course, being free is a one of values that we can take from OSS.
But I think If many developers using OSS pay a little money, a world would be better.
OSS is built on a lot of effort of developer who is not received money at all.
A honor is an only reward of development. It's not healthy.
there are people say OSS developer can be take a value from user's feedback.
It's not truth in most cases. It's truth on big company.
With many developer, the value given by feedback is less than cost of running OSS.
I believe OpenCollective will be hope of OSS developer.
